The memories I have of News is his great battles I have seen with the Dynamite Kid,Bret Hart, and Abdullah the Butcher.
His matches with Dynamite were classics, real bloodbaths, far before their time in the all out impact it could have had.
Also he was badly misused in the WWF.
I think he should have been a top challanger to hogan as Champion, and even would have made a great IC Champion.
Always remember News as a awesome talker on the mic,and when he looked at the camera with those eyes,it was as though he would see right into your living room.Scary man.

I happened upon this website for the first time today. My memory of Bad News was all from his days in the WWF. I remember him as one loud, tough SOB, and I couldn't stand him. That just proves that Allen did his job extremely well. Great website, and great wrestler. We share the same opinion of a number of things (like Vince McMahon, Brett Hart, and several others).

I personally think that a Bad News/Hogan main event at Wrestlemania 6 would've been much better then Hogan/Warrior.
Also I love reading the opinions section. I never did look at the topics that way, but the more I think about it, the more I agree. It also gave me a great idea on what direction to go with my gimmick!

I spent many a teenage saturday watching Bad News on Stampede Wrestling and absolutely loving the skill demonstrated. It was Bad News who really elevated the controversy in wrestling. I was very privileged to have been there on THAT night when all hell broke loose in the match with Archie Gouldie and his "son". What a great match that was. Crowd hostility was incredible, old ladies were lashing out with umbrellas. What a wild wild night. My favorite memory of Bad News though is when he was using a FORK as his weapon of choice. Not for him chains or baseball bats.... but a fork!!! Astounding showmanship, and still fondly remembered over 20 years later. Thanks Allen.
